The short film that gave Pixar it's trademark logo. What's great is you can see the early stages of the techniques that make Pixar great. Two lamps with more expressiveness and personality than some other animated characters. A forerunner of Wall-E? Interestingly this is actually the second ever Pixar short, they released The Adventures of Andre and Wally B. (1984) back before they were a separate company and took the name Pixar, when they were an affiliate of Lucas Arts.
La Luna (2012)

For the Birds (2000)
It was a toss up between this and Geri's Game (1997) but I went for this one purely for the satisfaction the audience gets when those nasty little birds get their comeuppance for their treatment of the big bird. Plus the sight of the featherless birds plopping to the ground is hilarious.
For The Birds was always my favourite. what am i talking about 'was'?! it still is :D
ReplyDeleteThe ending always gets me. Both that and Boundin' show that hairless animals are always funny. I amy have to do a blog post about that...
